Bruce Springsteen postpones September shows to treat peptic ulcer disease

Bruce Springsteen has made the difficult decision to postpone the remaining concerts scheduled for September with the E Street Band due to his need for treatment related to peptic ulcer disease. The iconic musician shared this news on his official Instagram page, expressing his regret for having to delay these shows. Starting with the originally planned concert in Syracuse, New York, slated for Thursday, Bruce Springsteen will be taking a break as per his doctors’ advice.

In his statement, he conveyed his heartfelt sadness about the postponement, offering apologies to his dedicated fans in Philadelphia, whom he had to disappoint a few weeks ago. However, he assured them that he would return to make up for these shows and more in the future. He concluded his message with warm wishes and gratitude, saying, “We’ll be back soon. Love and God bless all.”

Ticket holders can expect to receive information about rescheduled dates for the eight affected shows. As of now, the tour is set to resume with performances in Canada scheduled for November.

This setback comes after Bruce Springsteen postponed two concerts at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park in August due to health issues, a departure from his usual resilience. However, he made a triumphant return with three unforgettable stadium performances at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, just last week.

Peptic ulcers, the reason behind this postponement, are characterized by severe abdominal pain and are essentially open sores that develop on the inner lining of the stomach and upper part of the small intestine. They are most commonly caused by a bacterial infection that erodes the protective lining of the digestive system.

While fans may be disappointed by this news, they can look forward to Bruce Springsteen’s return to the stage once he has received the necessary treatment and is ready to rock once again.
